Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Tonypandy

Dylan's

Porth St, Porth CF39 9RH, UK – 01443 683822

I spent a few days in Porth visiting friends. They had booked a table at Dylan's. I found my time there very enjoyable it was very busy but was very well organised. We had a fabulous sirloin steak. The staff were marvellous, excellent service and very good value for money. Plus I was told the food is all local produce

Cosy quiet place, just went for a drink. Didn't have food so unable to comment, however a large table of 20 or so diners were complaining about their 2 hour wait, and they were the only ones there

The Ivor Hael Hotel

Salem Terrace, Tonypandy, Llwnypia CF40 2JJ, UK – 01443 423125

Great service at lunch time. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was quickly delivered to table after order placed. The food was 'pub grub' and a very good selection on the menu with lots of offers too. I would recommend the £2.99 lasagne and chips, it was designed for smaller appetites but still had plenty. Soft drinks selection was a little disappointing and not enough variety of diet/zero sugar fizzy drinks.

Clean and tidy with lovely decor. Food is good, home cooked . Large portions tho. I go there often with collage friends. The menu has had some new dishes added. Two whole new sections. One for people watching what they eat (slimmers)and the other for vegetarians. Also new desserts added. In my opinion The Ivor Hael gives value for your money.

The Fulling Mill Stonehouse

Mr Speakers Way, Tonypandy CF40 2PS, UK – 01443 430060

Better than the previous incarnation" the Lord Tonypandy " for is ok and pretty good value for money. We do usually go when it's quieter as the ques can get pretty long.

The food is hot and tasty. I tend to stick to the carvery but the rest of the menu does look good. The carvery always wins. The place is clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. In my opinion its not somewhere to take someone on a date but more of a mid afternoon bite to eat kinda place.
